The Lansing School District has suspended Eastern High School football coach Tommie Boyd and forfeited last week’s season-opening 34-20 win over Detroit U of D Jesuit High School because Boyd used academically ineligible players. In addition, the district has placed Eastern Athletic Director Mario Villareal on administrative leave and removed five academically ineligible players from the team. Read more here.
