Ball player’s dad in court on charges of assaulting son’s coach

A Granger High School football player’s father, accused of hitting his son’s assistant coach in the face with a helmet and breaking the man’s jaw, made his first appearance in 3rd District Court Thursday on a second-degree felony aggravated assault charge.  Tumua Fagota Siaumau, 46, of Anchorage, Alaska, was appointed a public defender by Judge Robert Faust during Thursday’s hearing.
