The New England Patriots have named a coach accused of abusing a player as the team’s “Coach of the Week.” Marblehead High School football coach Doug Chernovetz was honored by the Pats last week for leading the Magicians to their first winning season since 1992. The problem is the Patriots reportedly didn’t know Chernovetz is facing a civil complaint from a former player who claims the coach assaulted and intimidated him.
